CLOSURE FOR MAY & JUNE 2025
May & June - Chauncy will be closed as Louis and Tess return to France to spend time with family, friends and explore new regions of France.

**AUGUST - reservations will be released on the 15th of June at 8 am

HOSTED TABLE

Inclusive dining experience; menu du jour, wine progression, tea and coffee for 348 per person.

Smaller or half pours available for those driving or preference for less wine, with the menu du jour starting at 280 per person, this can include a progression of sans alcool 0% in place of wine, or a mix thereof.

*JULY

For the month of July, we’ll be offering two tables per day:

• One table for six guests in our private dining room, at 12.30 pm

• One chef’s table seating up to eight guests, at 1 pm or as a share table of smaller groups of two to four guests. Please note if reserving for less than six guests, it will be a shared table with another group(s).

**AUGUST

As the main dining room undergoes some light work in July, we’re hopeful it will be ready for August, but we do need to remain a little flexible. When booking, please note that:

  • Larger groups, more than five guests, may be placed in the private dining space if the main room is not yet available.

  • Smaller groups, four or less guests, may be seated at the chef’s table noting this would be a shared table.

 

WHAT TO EXPECT

The Hosted Table is a leisurely and convivial way to experience Chauncy, a long unhurried afternoon of beautiful seasonal produce matched with thoughtfully curated wines, tisanes and french press coffee.

While the main dining room undergoes some gentle restoration in July, Louis and Tess will be welcoming guests to two tables each service.

*For the month of July and potentially into August, you’ll be seated either at a private table for six guests in the old building, complete with fireplace and charm, or at our long farmhouse-style Chef’s Table located in the light-filled atrium between the north and south garden at 1pm - a single table for up to eight guests or several smaller groups. Please note if booking the chef’s table for less than 6 guests, this will be a shared table. August we hope to return to the main dining space but need to remain flexible - we thank you for your understanding.

You’ll have time to wander the garden, chat through the curated wine pairings with Tess and discover special bottles from France alongside local gems. The Hosted Table is for those who love generous cooking, beautiful wines, and taking the time to savour it all. Whether you’re marking a special occasion or simply wish to unwind, Louis and Tess look forward to welcoming you to Chauncy.

You’ll still be welcome to opt in on the day for reserve wine pairings, to select an extra bottles from the reserve list, or to unwind after the meal with a digestif. For those wishing to do a half pairing or smaller pours, we’ll also offer a selection of our sans alcool (0%) to complement or substitute.

DIETARY POLICY

We are not able to offer a vegetarian or vegan menu, nor menus that are free of lactose and/or alliums (onions/garlic).

We are unable to accommodate significant dietary restrictions. However, we may be able to make very minor adjustments on a case-by-case basis.

Surprise dietaries and allergies will not be able to be accommodated on the day. To avoid disappointment, please take the time to check in with the others guests in your party.
