Chauncy is heading into its fourth year, and we’re excited to be growing the team! We’re a small regional restaurant that has retained their two hats and won The Age Good Food Guide Award for Best Regional Restaurant 2024 and our Sommelier Tess has taken out Sommelier of Year for 2025!

Work alongside the owners and hospitality professionals on a number of exciting projects that will take Chauncy into its next chapter, and become an integral part of what makes Chauncy special!

We’re a small owner-operated venue located in the historic town of Heathcote and only an hour and forty minutes from Melbourne, Chauncy can be found in a heritage-listed sandstone building, surrounded by a beautiful, organic market garden. We serve a four-course menu with a strong focus on seasonality, local growers, and all things artisanal.

Our Menu du Jour changes every four to six weeks, evolving with the freshest in-season produce, which is supplemented by our market garden. Our wine list is constantly developing and we like to focus on progressive pairings, so many local and international wines pass through our cellar.

We’re proud to offer a workplace that emphasises work/life balance. An environment that supports staff to work at a high level but with kindness and respect being at the core of how we conduct ourselves with each other and guests. A week at Chauncy consists of a prep day on Thursday and four lunch services, Friday through Monday, we pride ourselves on providing warm and kind hospitality with the opportunity to create unique dining experiences.

To excel in this role we’re looking for someone who is highly professional, displaying a passion for knowledge and keen eye for detail, equipped with strong culinary experience, or an eagerness to learn and, an understanding and willingness to work as an integral member of a small team, as well as, being comfortable working and living in the country.

This role is available for a flexible start. We’re looking for someone who is passionate about the hospitality industry and who is excited to help take Chauncy into its next chapter.

Join us and work alongside a dynamic team in a two-hat restaurant (2025 Good Food Guide) located in the beautiful Heathcote wine region. Please send your CV to and expression of interest to Louis at bonjour@chauncy.com.au! We look forward to hearing from you!
